Tongue tied

I just noticed this today from this picture. When Reese is concentrating on something, like trying to figure out how to pump this water, she bites her tongue. I do the same thing! In fact I have many pictures of me running with my tongue pinched in the side of my mouth. Now I know I am not the only person who does this. But it is still fun to notice similarities between my daughter and me!

Happy Birthday Jamie!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY "Big Sister" Jamie!

Thank you for making sure I was well dressed right from the start!

Thank you for coming over to play whenever you are in town!

I hope you have a good birthday! Will you teach me how to play basketball soon?

Little Guy

I thought I was just buying Reese a pumpkin (or 2, or 3) yesterday but it turns out I bought her a new friend! She named this pumpkin "little guy". This morning she got the land of nod toy magazine that came in the mail and laid down on the floor with little guy at her side. She was showing him all the toys that she liked...."See it little guy? Cute baby!" The world of pretend is growing and I love it!!

PJ Pizza Party!!

We headed over to my parents house for Friday night pizza. Reese woke up from her long nap still not feeling well and asked to go to Grammie and Gramps house in her bunny jammies. It made sense to me. She wasn't feeling well, her bunny jammies were already on and nice a warm from sleeping in then so I said sure you can! She had the best shocked look on her face like, really?! And just letting her do that totally improved her mood that night! I guess it is the little things that matter!

Chum Festival 09

The Chum Festival came almost a month earlier this year! Reese was way more careful in touching the sea creatures this time because they felt yucky.

She was brave enough to go inside the HUGE salmon!

We cuddled in the blanket that Daddy won from Penisula light while Daddy ate his chum burger!

Big girl bed

Reese woke up last Tuesday morning and said "Reesie no crib mommy. Reesie sleep big girl bed now." I thought really? She sleeps so well in her crib and I like sleep! Do we really need to make this change now? If not now, when? Matt and I debated over having Reese sleep in just the trundle part of the bed vs the whole big bed. We decided on the whole big bed. The first night Reese woke up three times but would be quickly comforted back to sleep. The next day for nap time, she slept for 3 hours! In fact ever since she has been in the big bed she naps for 3 to 4, almost 5 hours!! Okay, she does have a cold right now too....but the bed is amazing! Now when to tackle potty training....maybe she'll let me know about that too! :)
