Independent play

We have been working on having Reese play by herself each morning for a set time. The rules are Mommy or Daddy chose what she plays with, where she can play and how long she can play with it. The purpose is to develop concentration and creativity. When we started it was only 15 minutes. Now she can do an hour pretty well! Most days it is 45 minutes long. She loves to play with the little people the best. At the end of her time I love to have her explain all that she was imagining!

We did it!

Here are our bookshelves! They really do work great! I love them, just walking by and seeing them can make me happy. Organization is my friend. Guess it helps me feel like I can control something, which I should know by now that I am not in control, but God is still working with me on that! :) Anyways, back to the books.....I love them!

Sisters

The other day Reese woke up from her nap, and heard Maleah "talking" downstairs. She jumped out of bed and said "Can I go see my sister?" (Usually it takes Reese a while to wake up and want to get out of her warm bed.) So fun to see their relationship starting/growing! This is why I really wanted another baby....to watch the sibling bond! I have and still enjoy my sisters so much! And I am loving watching these sisters form their life long bond.

Can I hold her?

I thought Reese would ask us to hold Maleah more often than she does. Maybe it is because it is harder to do than she thought it would be. Anyways, anytime she asks, we try to make it happen! See how much they enjoy it? ;)

Fabric Fun

Every so often Reese asks to play with my fabric scraps and she is so creative when she does. Here she is dressed up as Mary, standing over the cozy bed she made for Jesus.

Children's Museum with Daddy

Matt took time out to take Reese on a Daddy daughter date to the children's museum in Tacoma. She loved getting out with her daddy! Here are some fun pictures from their time together. (So glad he took pictures so I can see what they were up to too!)
