Every Thursday we head to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. When Reese was a baby this was our way of celebrating making it through another week of parenting! Now it is a fun family tradition. Well this past Thursday was a special day for Mexican food (grin) and so our restaurant was crowded! We had called ahead knowing this would be the case, but they don't take reservations that day, bummer. So I pouted a bit (I was craving chips and salsa!!) and said we only had time for Costco, as if that were our punishment. But on our way there, I remembered the market place grill. It has yummy food and they are willing to make special orders....they once mashed up peanuts to make peanut butter for Reese. And they have Matt's favorite salmon salad there too.
No one else was there, we had the whole tiny place to our selves. There was a sailboat race going on in the harbor and we had the perfect view. Maleah was mesmerized!
Reese got a kick out of the view too. And she ate her whole dinner!!
So it was not the chips and salsa I was craving, it was a bit more expensive (Matt said to call it my Mother's Day dinner), but it was a wonderful family outing!
